IJM Innovate for Tomorrow is a township design competition open to students from local universities, organized by IJM. The competition focuses on design concept of a township for an actual land located at Rimbayu, Shah Alam.
Participants are required to prepare layout plan with detailed explanation of concepts and finally a mock up model showing buildings, road circulation and public spaces, among others. The competition also requires participants to go through training and team building activities, validation day for idea presentation, semi-final and the finals.
In the finals held on 28th September 2017 at Holiday Villa Subang Jaya, Team Halaman, consisting of year 3 student from the Department of Civil Engineering, Lim Jia Jun, along with team members from the Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya was crowned overall Champion in the IJM Innovate for Tomorrow competition. The team also won the Best Consumers’ Choice Award during the finals. Congratulations to the team!
