Occupational Safety and Health Policy of Universiti Malaya

The safety and health regulations in the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, are applicable to all staff and students and shall be complied with in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Policy of Universiti Malaya, as endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato' Seri Ir. Noor Azuan Abu Osman.

Laboratory Safety Rules & Regulations

Science officers, led by Associate Professor Ir Dr Nasrul Annuar, have developed QR-code posters for undergraduate and postgraduate students. These allow students to access laboratory safety rules and regulations online and complete a mandatory acknowledgement form once during their study period. Upon completion, a certificate is generated, as shown below. This process ensures that students have reviewed and understood the required safety procedures before entering laboratories or workshops. Furthermore, reminder posters are displayed at laboratory entrances to support attendance tracking and maintain records of laboratory usage by students.
